The Miracle of Dunkirk - The evacuation of Allied soldiers during World War II from the beaches and harbour of Dunkirk, in the north of France, between 26 May and 4 June 1940.

The Battle of the Atlantic - The epic naval battle throughout World War II between the Allied nations and Germany for control of the Atlantic Ocean. Canada's main role during this battle was to provide convoy escorts with its Fairmile (including Q105 - aka Duc D'Orleans) and Corvette warships.
